I mentioned my* collaborative writing website on another #pretendpanel post, so today we're talking about the features I like on Ellipsus!
*My refers to "the collaborative writing website I use" and not to mean that I'm on the ellipsus team in any way.
I like that I can put all my documents into folders. Here's my writing exercises nicely separated from my projects.
There's a great drafts function that I can use both the intended way and the unintended way.
The intended way is to have the master copy - the top document - and the different possible drafts below that.

If you're me (i.e. paranoid), you compare the two for the tracked changes and then copy what you want into the master copy.

And if you're daring like my friend, you actually merge the changed version into the master copy instead of being anal like me.
Collaborators are only allowed to edit and comment on drafts, so you never have to worry about merging whatever your collaborator did by accident. Not a problem for comments since the comments are nice, threaded bubbles with quotes of what you are commenting on. But both the drafts and the separate comments are a good functionality.
The unintended way of using drafts is using it for questionnaires or writing exercises. This way, I can have the instructions for the writing exercises in the main doc, and then I write over them for my respective projects.

These tools from Ellipsus are the ones I like best. There are a lot more but I already have a ton of screenshots
So feel free to ask me any questions from this post or things you saw in the screenshots but I didn't talk about!
